Enhancing Systematic Literature Reviews with Specialized Research Tools

To support the preparation of high-quality Systematic Literature Reviews (SLRs), the journal recommends the use of specialized software that facilitates each stage of the review process, from literature identification and study selection to evidence synthesis and bibliometric analysis. The appropriate use of these tools promotes methodological transparency, reproducibility, and efficiency while ensuring compliance with internationally recognized SLR standards.

Recommended tools include Mendeley or Zotero for reference management; Rayyan, Covidence, or Watase UAKE for screening and selecting eligible studies; VOSviewer, Biblioshiny (Bibliometrix–R), or CiteSpace for bibliometric and science mapping; and statistical software such as R, RevMan, or JASP for quantitative synthesis and meta-analysis where applicable.

Authors are encouraged to employ these tools in accordance with established review guidelines, including PRISMA 2020, to improve the rigor, transparency, and reproducibility of evidence synthesis. The integration of appropriate digital tools throughout the SLR process enhances the quality of literature reviews and contributes to the production of reliable, evidence-based scientific knowledge.
